Forty percent (40%) of people in America have tattoos; 60% of Americans don’t have them. Most people think that it is a bad idea to get a tattoo. There are many risks about getting tattoos. Tattoos are very expensive to get and very hard and expensive to remove.
How do you feel about semi-automatic weapons and big game hunting? Do you think that they should be allowed? I believe semi-automatic weapons should be able to be used in big game hunting, because you can fire a second or subsequent shot faster. They can be used in a survival situation. They are also a lot more powerful than a single shot hunting rifle such as the .225 and Winchester models.
Did you know that 57% of baseball players in the Dominican Republic use steroids ? I think the use of steroids in professional sports is wrong because steroids are illegal in the United States, because it is a non prescribed drug and it can also cause health problems. They also create unfair competition in baseball.
Fix your dog to fix pet population. I believe that getting your dog fixed is one of the many important things you have to do when you first get a dog. It’s part of being a responsible dog owner. Some owners feel that it might be unkind to get their dogs fixed, but the truth is that there are many benefits to having your dog spayed or neutered. You you would be fixing the many problems with dogs in shelters, not spaying because of purebreds and then there would be less behavior problems.
Violence in Sports Sports have been a major feature around the world for many years. The achievements of each has really enhanced the image of each nation. The participation of the athletes in sporting events has really helped millions of people around the world to admire teamwork and fair-play, which can provide a basis to good society. Sadly there are shortcomings in sports, a real major one is violence. I believe violence in sports is bad because it can hurt people or animals. The fans sometime start the violence, also violence and drug use.
Rory 8th “Censorship is based on fear”, says South African musician Johnny Clegg. Censorship is a good thing some people say. But other people are against it. A band called Anthrax wrote a song about censorship in the 80’s. A lot of people are against it. It is taking away freedom of speech, if someone wrote a song they wrote it for a reason, and people are getting mad that the first amendment right is being trampled.
Releasing a dog into the wild is cruel, but if they have feral pups, then it’s dangerous. Feral animals are the offspring of domestic animals that have been abandoned in the wild. A feral dog is a dog born of a stray, which cannot be socialized with humans. Feral dogs are dangerous and will attack a human if cornered. Feral dogs are the most widespread of wild canines there are. Feral dogs mostly live anywhere humans are, since released dogs are mostly around human habitations, this is because they will use the garbage as a food source when need be. Many people have taken this into their own hands and have started to kill the dogs. Feral dogs live mainly where there are domestic dogs that are allowed to roam free or dogs that have been abandoned. Feral dogs may appear in all 50 U.S. states, Canada, and both Central and South America. They are also common in Europe, Australia, Africa, and several remote islands, like the Galapagos. The home range of these animals varies in size depending on food availability, such as packs that depend mainly of garbage for food may remain in close vicinity of a dump.
Jack,grade8 A group of boys and girls wearing the same thing? I don’t think so. Small kids in kindergarten are starting to wear school uniforms, but why? Does anyone really think that a five year old girl is going to to school in a mini skirt? A five year old boy going to school with the middle finger on his shirt. I don’t think school uniforms are right and here’s why. I think its not okay to wear school uniform because, kids won’t find out at a young age what they are interested in. Also school uniforms are not going to stop school bullies. And it is harder to make friends.
Chantal, Grade 8 Does your child have a curfew? Well they should. A curfew teaches responsibility. And think about it, do you really want your kid out late? You know, when all the drunk drivers are coming out. And seriously the later they stay out the more likely it is that they will go further away from home, and who knows what they’re doing out there.
Whenever I think of America, I think of a place where everyone should be accepted. I know now that I am wrong because, not everyone has been accepted in our society. Do you know who that may be? Gays and lesbians. Do you know who is accepted in our society? Women, blacks, Asians, Spanish, and some Muslims. Do you know why gay people haven’t been accepted? It’s because they “haven’t” been around as long as everyone else. Not true. Most people had probably been too afraid to say that they liked the same gender. In the 1700’s and after, they most likely would have been hanged because they were cursed by the devil. I believe that life would be much better if it didn’t matter what skin color you had, or who you like. Adoption rates could go up, because more people aren’t adopting because they want a kid they could call their own.
